Students of Nanning University in Guangxi Visit Jiangfeng Furniture Group: Exploring Ingenious Craftsmanship and Discussing Career Future

On the afternoon of June 24th, over 200 teachers and students from Nanning University in Guangxi visited Jiangfeng Furniture Group for an observation and learning activity. Through on-site visits to factories, sample exhibition halls, symposiums and exchanges, they gained an in-depth understanding of the development and charm of the furniture industry and built a sound platform for interaction and communication between the university and the enterprise.

Under the warm guidance of staff from Jiangfeng Furniture Group, the teachers and students first stepped into the production workshop. Within the factory premises, factory buildings stand tall, showcasing the vibrant vitality of the enterprise's development.  

Inside the workshop, various automated equipment operate in an orderly manner. Amid the roar, pieces of wood gradually take shape through precision cutting, polishing, and assembly. From wood preprocessing to finished product assembly, every production link functions efficiently. The students witnessed firsthand the transformation process of furniture from raw materials to finished products, gaining a direct understanding of the advanced techniques and strict standards in modern furniture manufacturing.

Subsequently, the teachers and students visited Factory 2, where the exquisitely crafted furniture samples caught everyone's eye. The exhibition hall centers its design on the aesthetics and needs of urban high-end white-collar workers.

With diverse styles and superior quality, all the furniture pieces vividly reflect Jiangfeng Furniture Group's brand positioning of "providing high-quality supporting furniture services for domestic and foreign mid-to-high-end brand chain hotels."

On display in the hall are classic cooperation cases with renowned brands such as Hyatt and Marriott, which vividly illustrate Jiangfeng Furniture Group's outstanding status and strong strength in the industry. These exhibits drew the students to stop and admire, with exclamations of praise echoing through the hall.

After the visit, a meaningful symposium was held in the conference room. Representatives from Jiangfeng Furniture Group gave the students a detailed account of the company’s glorious history since its founding in 1951, and shared valuable experiences in areas such as brand positioning, project cases, operation systems, and production planning.  

In the interactive session, students actively raised questions, covering topics ranging from furniture design concepts to the enterprise’s talent needs, and from industry development trends to career planning advice, creating a lively atmosphere. The company representatives answered patiently and meticulously. Not only did they address the students’ questions and clear up their doubts, but they also helped everyone gain a clearer understanding of the development prospects of the furniture industry and the directions for career development.

At the end of the event, teachers and students from Guangxi's Nanning University and staff of Jiangfeng Furniture Group took a group photo at the company's entrance as a memento. Each face beaming with smiles froze this fulfilling and unforgettable moment, thus bringing this observation and learning activity to a successful conclusion.

This visit not only allowed students from Nanning University in Guangxi to step out of the classroom and experience the charm of the furniture industry up close, but also deepened exchanges and cooperation between the university and the enterprise, laying a solid foundation for the future development of industry-university-research integration.

It is believed that in the future, there will be more such exchange activities to broaden students' horizons, enrich their knowledge, and help them continue to grow and make progress in their professional fields.
